Payment in the webshop can be made by credit card (American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard or Visa), debit card (MasterCard), Pay Pal and online banking.
To complete orders, the three-digit respectively four-digit control number (CVC) as well as the secure code of your credit card are required.
Note:
If tickets are bought within 24 hours with the same credit card, this credit card will be rejected at the fourth trial. This practice is a standard of the payment provider to protect the card holders and minimize credit card fraud.
The Webshop offers the following free delivery methods: ticketdirect and collection from the daytime or evening box office (picking up tickets at the daytime box office is possible from 7 April 2025).
Each ticketdirect is valid for a single admission to the performance. The first person to present the ticketdirect will be granted admission and does not need to identify themselves as the purchaser of the ticket. You can print out the ticket or alternatively have it available on your mobile device at the entrance.
Tickets for performances the same evening can be booked up until 75 minutes before a performance starts. After that time a performance is shown as "currently no tickets available".
From the moment of selection, any ticket will remain in the shopping cart for 30 minutes at most. After expiry of this period, the ticket will be automatically removed from the shopping cart and again be put on sale. This will not affect any other tickets that were placed in the shopping cart at a later point in time.

Advance waiting list
Ticket requests for particularly popular shows may be registered with the Vienna Festival | Free Republic of Vienna Service by calling +43 1 589 22 22. You will be contacted in advance in the order of your place on the waiting list if any tickets are returned.
The advance waiting list will NOT be adopted by the evening box office.
Evening box office waiting list
If a performance is sold out, the evening box office will draw up a waiting list when it opens (the advance waiting list will not be adopted by the evening box office). 15 minutes before the performance is due to begin, any tickets that have not been picked up will be sold according to the list. Only one name can be added to the list per person, and only one ticket is issued per name; pre-booking is not possible.

These tickets go on sale at the evening box office one hour before the start of the performance. Only one ticket per person; pre-booking is not possible.
There are three types of tickets available for this show: 24-hour-tickets for EUR 45 and 12-hour-tickets (valid between 10pm and 10am) for EUR 25. After 10pm, tickets will only be available on site and if sufficient places are available. These cost EUR 10 per ticket and will be valid as long as you remain inside the auditorium.

You can show your ticket direct at the entrance as DIN A4 - print or on your mobile device.
Please note: depending on the production, you may not be admitted to the auditorium if you arrive late.
