The Magic of the Night

Jozef Wouters enchanted the audience with his Decoratelier last year. Now the Belgian stage designer shows how sleepless nights can unleash fantasy in A Day is a Hundred Years, a collaboration with his atelier colleague Barry Ahmad Talib, an artist from Conakry in Guinea. The revolving stage seems to move restlessly into the auditorium. A Day is a Hundred Years once again shows that Wouters does not lack ideas and insights, nor talented collaborators, is how the magazine e-tcetera puts it in a first review.

Alexander Zeldin is back!

The Confessions: a sensitive play about life as a whole – Wiener Festwochen world premiere

Two years ago, Alexander Zeldin took the Festwochen audiences’ breath away. Indeed, in 2021, the humble theatre star from the UK gained overnight fame with Viennese audiences with Love and Faith, Hope and Charity, the last two parts of his Inequalities trilogy about the real lives of real people. And now the moment has finally arrived! On June 14, the director, who learned his craft from the great Peter Brook, returns to Vienna and the Festwochen with a touching story and a tremendous cast (featuring Amelda Brown of Harry Potter fame and major Australian stars Pamela Rabe and Eryn Jean Norvill) for the world premiere of The Confessions.
