Viennese cultural institutions call on you: Go vote, strengthen democracy!
Vienna is voting – make sure you do too! Take this opportunity to help shape a crucial decision about our shared future. By participating, you are strengthening one of our most important collective achievements: democracy. Let us not take it for granted – only an engaged, democratic civil society can safeguard the scope of political culture, democratic rights, and the commitment to equality for all people.
The right to vote is a precious asset – use it! More than a third of Vienna’s population is not eligible to vote because they are not citizens. Those who do have the right to vote should exercise it: to strengthen social cohesion and help shape our collective future – for which democracy is the best form of society.
The democratic values we stand for also include artistic freedom. Cultural institutions are always places of democratic discourse – they provide space for encounters, reflection, and debate. By strengthening democracy, we also strengthen culture!
We therefore appeal to all eligible voters: Cast your vote, go to the polls, and make a conscious statement in support of a strong democracy in our city!
