The Mexican artist collective Lagartijas tiradas al sol have been collaborating for over two decades, focusing on projects that explore political processes and the traces they leave in individual lives. They examine how social context shapes our experiences and how theatre engages with this. At the heart of their work lies one central question: What is theatre able do that no other art form can? In this workshop, Lagartijas tiradas al sol unpack the fundamental ideas and methods that shape their projects. Participants gain insight into their research, creative processes, and ways of working, with the decided goal of also revealing something new and unexpected about themselves.
