A vigorous musical workout for the collective enhancement of spirit, perception and perspective. Based on the music of Johann Strauss, Ivo Dimchev creates healing songs to charm various body parts. A declaration of love to queerness.
The choreographer, singer-songwriter and queer activist Ivo Dimchev unites highbrow and subculture, pop and Balkan folklore in his performances. In Di/Strauss technique, he takes the vibrant potential of Johann Strauss' music and turns it into a vigorous musical workout with the audience. Setting out from the music by the King of the Waltz, Dimchev creates his own healing songs to charm various body parts. It is a declaration of love to queerness and a bonding experience that casts off stereotypes of identity and sexuality, issuing an invitation to enhance spirit, perception and physicality.
