Sisters! Brothers! Siblings! Austrians!

This is the Funkhaus. As you all know, this building has a dark history. It was opened by Adolf Hitler as the infamous Reichssender in 1938, and for the following seven years, the Reichssender accompanied the crimes of German and Austrian troops throughout Europe with speeches and songs. This house was born as a place of evil.

My great-grandmother was raped by a soldier of the Wehrmacht at the age of 17, my great-grandfather's entire village – he was still a child at the time – was occupied and wiped out by the SS, and he himself was deported to the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria.

But my family decided to transform the violence that emanated from this city and from this house into love, into healing. I am not only the child of survivors of fascism – I am the great-grandchild of a shaman, my father was and is a shaman, and the power of healing was passed on to me. Today I have come to Austria to join my companions – Olga Shapolavo from Uzbekistan and Richard August-Chi from England – in cleansing this house, which has brought so much misfortune and corruption into the world, of all black energies, of fascism, hatred, nationalism and confusion. Because hatred only breeds more hatred if it is not expelled. And as we all know, old fascism breeds new fascism.

But fear not: I come in peace. So that the V in Vienna does not stand for Vengeance, but for LoVe.

Austrians! Here and now, on 28 February 1945, exactly 80 years to the day after the last radio speech by the fascist propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels, the revolution of love begins. Today, on 28 February 2025, I, the shaman of the Republic of Love, declare the Funkhaus the HOUSE OF THE REPUBLIC. We are here today to free the Funkhaus, Vienna, Austria and the whole world from all darkness, all shame and meanness. Where there was hatred, there shall be love!

I will now cleanse the Funkhaus. Today, 80 years after Goebbels' voice was last broadcast, his spirit, the spirit of fascism can finally die. So that this place may be reborn, radiant and pure as a place of friendship, gentleness and love.
