Biography
Nyokabi Kariũki is a Kenyan composer, sound artist and artistic researcher. Her sonic imagination spans from classical contemporary to experimental electronic music, explorations in sound art, pop, and (East) African musical traditions. Her impactful work is illuminated by a commitment to the preservation of African thought, language and stories. She has received commissions from BBC Radio 3, Heartland Marimba and Arcis Saxophon Quartett.
