Lagartijas tiradas al sol describe themselves as a flock of artists who work on stage, make books, radio, videos and delve into learning processes. Since 2003, they develop projects as a mechanism to link work and life, to erase and trace frontiers. Their work seeks to create narratives upon events from reality – not focusing on entertainment, it’s a space to think, articulate, dislocate and unravel what everyday life fuses, overlooks and presents us as given.

Lagartijas tiradas al sol have presented their work throughout Mexico at festivals, independent venues, state theatres and universities. Overseas, among many others, their productions were shown at European festivals like Wiener Festwochen (El rumor del incendio, WFW 2012), Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels or Festival d’Automne à Paris, and across the Americas at festivals such as FTA Montreal, Santiago a Mil International Festival, Bienal de São Paulo, TBA Portland or Radar, LA.
