The exemplary translation of aspects of erotic services into the actor’s craft creates an organisational and economic context in which to establish a new field of application for performative work. The skills of the artists providing their services are called on by the preferences of the clients, who are free to choose individual components from a catalogue of gestures, atmospheres, situations, genres and techniques. The actors accordingly simulate situations, embody phantasies and provoke emotions, seeking out interpersonal spaces of resonance and nuanced forms of experience.
