Why do we immortalize the names of loved ones in the barks of trees, on toilet doors and our biceps? The House of the Republic children's and young persons' programme is all about gestures of love and how they help us communicate. Tokens of love are tattooed on a large piece of artificial skin, unusual love letters are created on the typewriter, the most important questions about friendship are asked in the radio studio. And what's the link between a security service and love? In various workshops, the children join artists to explore particular gestures and what new forms of expressing love we might find.
