Dilay Doğanay

Dilay Doğanay studied violin and composition in İzmir. Her compositions are performed by musicians and ensembles in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Turkey. Most recently, her work Lost Burdens, premiered in 2022 by Rio Ensemble, was played in Paris by soloists of Ensemble Intercontemporain and Ensemble NEXT.
Her piece presented in Vienna reflects on the catastrophic aftermath of the earthquake in Turkey in February 2023 and involves the manipulation of a recorded excerpt from the Turkish lullaby Dandini Dandini Dasdana.
