On Sunday, 21 June, all mortals and immortals are invited to celebrate the grand finale of the Republic of Gods (as well as midsummer night) at the House of the Republic. The Badeschiff (Vienna Bathing Ship) and the sun decks open at ten in the morning and events continue until late at night. The pièce commune makes its final stop and the workshop series What We Believe In and Oh my Godness! show what they have created throughout the festival. There is a public session of the Council of the Republic to discuss the task forces’ outcomes on the Vienna Declaration items fundraising and quotas – the issues of representation and capital, the two secret deities of our time. At sunset, the performance series Mythical Ark gives its final presentation. And: weather and the legendary Donauweibchen mermaid permitting, there’ll be swimming... a transition rite of a very special kind.
