The Freestyle Orchestra

The Freestyle Orchestra is an international performance collective of classically-trained musicians with a movement/circus background and movement/circus artists with a musical background, interested in exploring collective physical and musical expression. Performance highlights include the Venice Biennale, Buskers Festival Vienna, Les Jardins Musicaux Switzerland, ’Orchester Am Berg’ concert, and Kultursommer, Vienna. Their most recent initiatives and collaborations include The Looking Glass Cabaret (2020 and 2021), The Secret Garden Festival (2021) and Vien.noir (2022). In 2023 their documentary was selected for the Circus International Film Festival, and their work has also been featured at international conferences including SAR, ELIA Biennial and Classical:Next.
