with ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival

Accompanying two Festwochen productions in Halle E at MuseumsQuartier as well as the [ImPulsTanz Special] on 15 years of Liquid Loft / Chris Haring at Odeon, artists invite you to do research together

The Research Project will focus on generating movement material that follows the specific principles that were used in the creation of The Goldberg Variations, BWV 988, the new creation by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Pianist Alain Franco, who will also be playing in the performance on 29 August, 3pm, and Rosas dancer Marie Goudot will lie a focus on the music by Bach and will generate a link between this music and the personal newly created material.

The Goldberg Variations belong to Bach’s late period, in which the composer pushes the boundaries of musical themes in a play of variations, canons and fugues.
