Alfred J. Noll, a friend, comrade-in-arms, brilliant lawyer, and master of free speech and the precisely chosen word, passed away far too soon just a few weeks ago. A Sunday morning matinee as part of the Vienna Festival will pay tribute to Noll, who, sadly, had only been a member of the festival’s supervisory board for a few months. Armin Thurnher has selected texts by Noll and carefully curated them; friends and colleagues will read them at the Odeon Theatre – the very setting in which Noll shone as a ‘prosecutor’ in three Vienna Trials two years ago.
Readers include Andrea Casapicola, Walter Famler, Ernst A. Grandits, Gabriella Hauch, Thomas Kuscher, Milo Rau, Anna Sporrer, Kurt Stocker, Armin Thurnher and Martin Zrost
