Matija Ferlin

Biography
Born in Pula in 1982, Matija Ferlin is a director, choreographer and performer of his own solo shows. He graduated from the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam and subsequently lived and worked in Berlin and Toronto. After returning to Pula (Croatia), he focused on the development of novel concepts for stage performances, collaborating both with actors and dancers. Matija Ferlin’s work has been shown at internationally renowned festivals including Kunstenfestivaldesarts (Brussels), ImPulsTanz (Vienna), Festival TransAmériques (Montreal) or BITEF (Belgrade). He collaborates with choreographers, film and theatre directors, visual artists and dramaturgs, such as Ivica Buljan, Christophe Chemin, Maja Delak, Goran Ferčec, Mauricio Ferlin, Ame Henderson, Mateja Koležnik, Sasha Waltz, Jasna Žmak and many others. His work Sad Sam Matthäus was part of Wiener Festwochen 2021.
