Born in 1987, Marion Siéfert is a French writer, director and performer. Her work blends several artistic disciplines and theories and expresses itself through a variety of genres that include theatre, film and literature. She developed her first solo work 2 ou 3 choses que je sais de vous in 2018 in connection with her doctorate programme at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies at the University of Giessen, leading to a series of invitations by a number of French theatres and festivals. The documentary films Nocturnes and L’époque resulted from a collaboration between Marion Siéfert and director Mattieu Bareyre; moreover, she participated in works of different groups and artists, such as L’Accord Sensible, Séverine Chavrier, Joris Lacoste and Rimini Protokoll as translator, dramaturg or assistant director. She performed for the group La Fleur (Monika Gintersdorfer and Franck Edmund Yao) in Die selbsternannte Aristokratie, a production that was also shown by Wiener Festwochen in 2017. This was followed in 2018 by the piece Le Grand sommeil, which was inter alia invited to Festival d’Automne à Paris. Since 2017, Marion Siéfert has been artiste associée of the Centre Dramatique National (CDN) La Commune – Aubervilliers, where – Du sale! –, her third work as director, premiered in 2019.
