Marie Spaemann

Mela Marie Spaemann is a cellist and singer-songwriter. With her cello playing, she won the international Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach; a few years later, she toured Germany and Austria as the solo support band and singer of the electro swing pioneers [dunkelbunt]. As a classical cellist, she has performed with numerous orchestras. Various formations have taken her to the most diverse stages of international festivals; including the 2019 Alpen Arte and Tiroler Festspiele, which she curates, as well as the Fusion Festival in Germany, the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in Croatia, Puplinge Classique in France, the South Korean festival Classic Garden and Konzerthaus International in New York. She has also toured the arenas of Europe as a soloist in the production The World of Hans Zimmer.
