Viennese author Maria Muhar, born 1986, a qualified chef, studied Art and Photography and Post-Conceptual Art Practices at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, and at the Institute for Language Arts at the University of Applied Arts. She writes prose, poetry, and short radio plays. Most recently, her text Schlachthausgasse was published by Kremayr & Scheriau as part of the anthology Und wie wir hassen! Together with the authors’ collective Wiener Grippe/KW77, she publishes travelogues and is currently working on the collaborative play Tuntschi. Eine Häutung, scheduled to premiere at the Konzert Theater Bern in September. Maria Muhar’s first novel is to be published in 2022.
