Joris Lacoste

Biographie
Joris Lacoste is a French artist. Since 1996, he has been writing for theatre and radio; in 2993, he moreover began to direct his own productions. Drawing inspiration from literature, theatre, dance, visual arts, music, sound poetry, etc., his work is always rooted in profound research. In 2007, he was guest dramatist at the Théâtre National de la Colline in Paris; from 2007 to 2009, he served as co-director of the centre for research and creativity Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers. In 2009, he launched the project Hypnographie to explore the use of hypnosis in art. He also initiated two collective projects – since 2004, the project W and, since 2007, Encyclopédie de la parole. Together with Encyclopédie de la parole, he created the pieces Parlement, Suite n°1, Suite n°2 and Suite n°3 – Europe, the last of which was shown at Wiener Festwochen 2019.
