The theatre makers Bashar Murkus and Khulood Basel established the independent Khashabi Theatre in Haifa together with other Palestinian artists in 2015. With their plays, they question conventional forms, norms and taboos on the basis of intensive multi-disciplinary collaboration and extensive research. These research processes are not about finding the right answers, but about asking the right questions. In this workshop, Basel and Murkus give insights into their methods and invite the participants to reflect on the social and political role of theatre in our times together.
