Bouchra Ouizguen
On and with Éléphant
It’s all about being inspired by what surrounds you. So whether it’s random passers-by, the expertise of singers from southern Morocco or the landscape of the Atlas Mountains, it all flows into the impressive works of choreographer Bouchra Ouizguen. In Vienna, she will meet local creatives from a wide range of disciplines: dancing without dance, an artistic process transposed into communal and convivial contexts. Cooking together, being driven by sounds, experimenting with songs, and going on an excursion into the countryside: Bouchra Ouizguen’s Lab is an invitation to immerse oneself into the artistic material that she and her team experimented with during the development process for her new piece Éléphant, away from the studio, in nature, in everyday life.
