On the eve of the Twilight of the Gods, the Republic of Gods will abandon itself to Dionysian energies one last time. Emerging from the creative microcosm of the Neukölln Sameheads scene, Saeko Killy has gradually played her way via the ears into the heads and hearts of a knowing audience. Mysterious songlines, billowing basses, minimal synthesizers and clacking beats somewhere between post-punk, kraut and dub are her acoustic ticket for success. Chris Imler’s concerts are musical magic tricks in which he serves up song, drums (standing up), sampler and synthesizer all by himself: a human rhythm machine from the misty basements of Berlin electrifying us with a mixture of nervous post-punk and relaxed synth groove. Sniffin‘ Glue have been reliable suppliers of dark and synth wave to Vienna’s underground for years. Let’s celebrate the closing night of the Club of the Republic.
