Join us to kick off the Republic of Gods with a liturgical celebration featuring gebenedeit as the Club of the Republic opens its doors. Vinzenz Landl and Johannes Oberhuber deliver the soundtrack to Lydia Haider’s text, which calls on the Holy Spirit ‘to remain by our side in the muck of fascists, femicides, wallowing preachers.‘ Next up, Enesi M. raps, sings and screams, her sound moving between beats, baille, metal and deconstructed club music. It’s as danceable as it is dark. Her music and her shows channel dystopia, driven by a generous helping of anger as well as self-empowerment. The evening closes with Schmauswaberl resident DJ Tabak and vinyl only from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
