The violinist Aisha Orazbayeva was born in Kazakhstan and lives in London and the South of France. She is renowned for her bold interpretations of contemporary music and radical approach to old repertoire. Aisha Orazbayeva regularly collaborates with such artists as Lily Wittenburg, Hugo Glendinning, Tim Etchells, mezzo-soprano Lore Lixenberg, pianist Mark Knoop, 12 Ensemble and the Kazakh Symphony Orchestra. Together with composer Adrian Corker, she developed the scores for the film The Have-Nots by Florian Hoffmeister (2016) and the TV series The Village (BBC 2013) and Tin Star (Sky Atlantic 2017). Moreover, she has released three solo albums with music by Telemann, Sciarrino and her own compositions. She is a member of the ensembles Plus-Minus and Apartment House.
