Die in Kate McInthoshs To Speak Light Pours Out gesprochenen Texte stammen aus vielen Quellen – von Theoretiker:innen, Dichter:innen, Akademiker:innen und Sänger:innen – geschrieben an verschiedenen Orten und zu verschiedenen Zeiten. Viele kommen aus feministischen, queeren und afrofuturistischen Diskursen. Manche Texte sind original zitiert, andere wurden von Kate McIntosh und Tim Etchells adaptiert oder gekürzt.
